Food production contributes, for example, to climate change, eutrophication and acid rain, as well as the depletion of biodiversity. It is also a considerable drain on other resources, such as nutrients, land area, energy, and water.
At the same time, industrial processes can have negative environmental impacts, causing climate change, loss of natural resources, air and water pollution and extinction of species. These threaten the global environment as well as economic and social welfare.
Consumption can affect the environment in many ways: higher levels of consumption (and therefore higher levels of production) require larger inputs of energy and material and generate larger quantities of waste byproducts.
The industrialization of America had both positive and negative effects on society. The Industrial Revolution brought a flood of immigrants to the United States, contributing to the cultural diversity of our country. Early inventions of the Industrial Revolution led to advances in transportation and technology.
The Industrial Revolution changed how people worked, the technologies available to them, and often where they lived. It made life comfortable for many though living conditions for workers remained abhorrent, which eventually fueled the rise of labor unions that led to improved working conditions and fair wages.
The positive effects of Industrialization are that it made work cheaper, employed thousands of workers, and improved people’s daily lives. Then the negative effects of Industrialization are exploitation of workers, overpopulation in urban cities and environmental damages.
What was the most significant effect of the Industrial Revolution? More jobs and more goods able to be produced faster and more efficient. What were the major problems faced by workers during the Industrial Revolution?
The Industrial Revolution changed the world by transforming business, economics, and society. These shifts had major effects on the world and continue to shape it today. Before industrialization, most European countries had economies dominated by farming and artisan crafts such as hand-woven cloth.
